Dedekind Cut lines up ambient album ‘Tahoe’ for Kranky

Following the release of Dedekind Cut’s debut album ‘$uccessor‘ in 2016, independent American record label Kranky kick off 2018 with the announcement of Fred Warmsley’s second solo full-length ‘Tahoe‘, named after the mountain lake town that the artist calls home.

Over the years Warmsley has accumulated releases under various monikers and his relationship with sound has evolved from fractured industrial design into increasingly subdued and sublime ambient meditations. His new album ‘Tahoe‘ “swells with widescreen grandeur, evoking vistas both inner and outer…panoramic and pensive, muted synthetic mists contoured with choral melody, field recordings, and radiant drone”.

If you’re a fan of the works of Raime, William Basinski and Yves Tumor this forthcoming eight-track album should be on your radar. Take a listen to the title track ‘Tahoe‘ below.

Tahoe is scheduled for release 23rd February via Kranky, order a copy from Bandcamp.
