How To Become A Cult Leader No. 14 at Apiary Studios

This Friday (10th July) multi-disciplinary artist run platform “How To Become A Cult Leader” will host an eclectic selection of experimental music, performances and video art projections at Apiary Studios in Hackney, East London.

Performances include ‘Gracelands, a traditional Chinese percussions performance in the style of Jixing Jiahua, accompanied with a fretless ‘Ogiero’ and a clarinet.

Niko Solorio, a Los Angeles based multi-media artist described by the L.A. Times as “Neo-Medieval-Minimalist-Global-SuperCorn”. Abstract techno from the cross-dimensional exiles of Dome, the harmonic agglomerates of  Jupiter-C, the layered complexity of Alcolytes and duo So So Luv.

There will also be screenings from Melanie King and Sian Erica Richards, part of the Lumen Collective, plus visuals from London based video artist Euroemptiness and the complex animation and computer graphics of Jonathan Gillie. Hanna Backer will also play a selection of music in-between acts.  The event commences at 8pm and tickets are available on the door priced at £7 each.
