The latest edition of Newtype Rhythms arrives with a wondrous mix from Man Power, a Mexico-via-UK producer who has found his footing between the sweet sounds of balearic, disco, house and much more. Whilst releasing music on the likes of ESP Institute, Optimo Trax, Correspondant and Permanent Vacation, Geoff Kirkwood never stays quiet for long.
His latest release ‘Apologue‘ EP (out now on DGTL) is a three-tracker that vibrates with an exuberant acidic energy with claps and swings to boot; try not smiling whilst listening to it. Now, consider that with his guest mix on Newtype Rhythms, he achieves that desired effect and much much more. Man Power’s mix starts at around 42 minutes in, with resident Sheepshead starting things off.
