After contributing a track to rising Croatian outlet low income $quad’s second compilation, Lisbon-based producer DJ Problemas steps up with his debut solo outing, ‘Fúria De Viver‘, out now via Berlin-based imprint Out Of Order.
Through 6 tracks of heavy-battered 4/4 rhythms tinged with a solid noisey lean, the Portuguese producer delivers a convincing blend of low-slung lo-fi epics, fusing screechy, tar-coated scapes and rogue, tape-saturated drum lapping.
Our premiere ‘Love Simones‘ encapsulates the subtle flavours of an hypnotic piano tune heaved by rough-edged percussions as it desperately keeps sinking into crushed glass quicksands. Rugged stuff for the twisted romantics or weird emotional material for the tough boys. Pick your side.
