If you’re into the deep, atmospheric wing of house music, you’ve certainly heard of Finest Hour, the Berlin-based imprint operated by Onirik and Pablo Tarno. With a handful of releases courtesy of Trapez affiliate Audio Werner, Bass Cadet’s Arcarsenal duo, Eklo’s Robin Ordell and more, the label’s cemented a rather solid reputation.
Set to hit the shelves in a few days, Finest Hour’s eighth number is a lush, positively-charged four-track VA featuring deeply immersive cuts from Vakant mainstay Tolga Fidan, Claus Voigtmann and the founding pair Onirik and Tarno, who respectively take charge of opening and closing the festivities.
Onirik’s ‘Third Landing‘ – which you can now stream in full down below, is an affair of broken-beat rhythms – halfway high-on-vitamins trip-hop and footwork tropes, and tactile deep house leads moving in soft, rising flows of warm airy pads. Don’t get fooled by its title, it’s a soothing uplift that won’t fail at flying you up to off-map realms of serenity in the blink of an eye.
