Premiere: Ramleh – Religion (Black Seed Remix)

Ahead of the release of Ramleh’s new album, two artists of the new noise scene Parrish Smith and Black Seed have remixed two of Ramleh’s tracks on Italian imprint Il Silenzio del Rumore (translated: the silence of noise).

Matteo Viani, known as Black Seed, is an Italian artist linked to the prolific underground Turin-based scene. Debuting three years ago on Details Sounds with two thunderous EPs and ‘Dirtybox’ on Signed Bit Zero, he unveiled a dark-tinged soul meandering in the realms of clatter and crude tribal techno.

The remix of ‘Religion’, which we are happy to premiere today carries remnants of the hissing and harsh atmosphere of the original version by Ramleh. High-pitched analog lines tremble on the surface of a magmatic bass twirling in slow motion, while a disguised groove evolves along hi-hats and grimy melodies, alluring the listener into a voodooistic trance.

‘Procreation / Religion’ is released via Il Silenzio del Rumore on 17th June 2017. Pre-order your copy on Bordello A Parigi
