Following the announcement of our partnership with Superstition last week, we are happy to reveal the first lineup of the series featuring an extended techno set from Berghain resident Marcel Fengler, a live debut show by Clockwork & Avatism and an experimental techno set from Alex Smoke on Friday 12th September.
Jorge Andres Nieto, founder of Superstition and head of programming at Village Underground, explained that his aim with this lineup was to choose “different ends of the techno spectrum to generate a dynamic in the night and a changing dance floor – Marcel Fengler will represent the Berghain end of things, while Clockwork and Avatism will debut their new live project and Alex Smoke will bring the UK, R&S take on techno.”
Village Underground’s dance floor will also be plunged into darkness, solely illuminated by candlelight, almost pitch black so people can focus on the musical journey, the church like walls and vibe of Village Underground will transform this event into a truly spiritual rave.
