Video Premiere: Dave Saved – Let It Evolve

Within just three years of activity, Turin-based label Gang Of Ducks gathered a solid team of producers around them – from Project: Mooncircle regular My Panda Shall Fly onto local talent Vaghe Stelle and Planet Mu’s affiliate Ital, all aiming at redefining the contours of contemporary dance music from unparalleled perspectives.

Two years on since his first incursion on the Italian label with the ambient-leaning ‘Power And Silence: Deindustrialization‘, Davide Salvati aka Dave Saved makes a comeback with ‘Energydream‘, a much more outgoing effort bursting with mangled bass ruptures and prismatic synth eruptions, spitting out mutilated vocals like piping lava.

To accompany the release of Dave Saved’s retro-futuristic new instalment, Gang Of Ducks directed a baroque video colliding the Flemish masters’ still-life paintings and modern times’ iconic items. The camera snakes its way through an uncanny liturgy: a neon-lit altar upon which a pair of Foamposite sneakers, a disco ball and sunglasses lie like relics – candles flickering and thick clouds of smoke building up as inertia begins to numb your body and mind.
