YouTube record label Tape Archive issue first vinyl release

Yep, you read that right. There can be such a thing. The mysterious Berlin based Tape Archive have been gradually assembling a visual catalogue of woozy house music over the past 12 months. Think the dewy works that permeate Lobster Theramin mixed with the VHS acid house attitude of the R-Zone series and you’re pretty much there. Each track is set to wry archive video – stick on DJ G.O’s Pompei at work if you want to raise a few eyebrows of passers by – with little else beyond an artist name and a catalogue number to accompany it.

Now the label have taken a slightly more physical approach by issuing their first ever vinyl release, fittingly a trio of untitled tracks from the unknown producer FTF on ninja stamped white vinyl. It’s sexy, lo-fi and a small teaser can be found in the video above. The release hits the streets next Monday, so get on it quickly.

FTF ‘TMDN#000666’ will be available on Tape Archive on 29th June 2015. Order a vinyl copy from Phonica.
