Oslo-based Snick Snack imprint prepare to release ‘Flex Core‘ LP from Norwegian versatile producer Bendik Baksaas.
Mastered by Matthew Styles, ‘Flex Core‘ offers a breakneck exploration of heavy techno, traversing the depths of a dark prophecy ensnared by the relentless pulse of machine-driven drum rhythms, synth oscillations and post-human echoes. Across nine tracks, Baksaas crafts a corrosive dance orbit, pitting the fiercest pagan spirits against one another in a nefarious battle of wills.
Our pick from the album is the percussion-heavy track ‘Out Looks At You‘. Over 6 minutes, the track encapsulates an exhilarating fusion of high-octane techno grooves, intricately woven with FX-drenched textures and compelling soundscapes.
