Following a self-released extended player in 2021, today New York-based producer IT-XPO (Eye-Tea X-Poe) drops their latest EP on UK-based Oleeva Records culminating in six solo tracks, bolstered with a deep and dubby remix courtesy of Swiss artist Lb Honne.
Mastered by Pete Lazonby, ‘Ripple‘ is “full of grit and attitude, industrial percussion and beautifully dark energy to lead us from the summer and into the winter.” Upon closer inspection ‘Ripple‘ forges a pathway through deep house, dub techno plus a sprinkling of tech house.
Highlights include the subterranean track ‘Deep 3‘, aerial drum work ‘Untitled 049‘ and the classic house sizzler ‘h.a.n.d‘. However it’s the final track that steals the show, thanks to the tonal depth created by Lb Honne. Hitting the internal feels with gusto, Lb Honne plays with micro-glitch vocal snippets, laser-like synth stabs and wood block styled kick drums, resonating a deeply organic sound fused with bioelectronics.
