Following a string of extended players released over the past half-decade, Boysnoize Records prepare to issue the debut album from French producer Unklevon.
Spanning 11-tracks, ‘UN1C‘ features contributions from label founders Boys Noize as well as LA-based vocalist Maral, German electro sensation Mell G, Vel and Ukrainian singer and rapper Alina Pash. Throughout the album, the French artist shows allegiance to the sound of Detroit electro after a set of acclaimed releases on Kyiv’s Nechto Records and Jensen Interceptor’s label International Chrome.
The self-titled track ‘UN1C‘ is our pick. Kicking off with a corrupted broadcast of digitised frequencies, Unklevon drops a dystopian electro anthem bolstered with sci-fi soundscapes, dusky breakbeats and underworld verses illustrated by an army of elektroid synth stabs.
