Following the release of Coloray’s debut album, Atomnation have enlisted friends and collaborators to rework tracks from ‘Future Static’. Baril, Sam Goku and Nadia Struiwigh have each delivered remixes that will arrive shortly as part of the digital release, while a remix from Eagles & Butterflies will complete the vinyl edition that lands this summer.
Dutch artist Nadia Struiwigh is currently based in Syndey. Appearing on labels such as Nous’klaer Audio and Central Processing Unit, her work tends to be synth-heavy experimentation with no fixed abode in terms of tempo.
For this release, Struiwigh tackles Coloray’s ‘Center Of The C#’. A slowly percolating soundscape, her version clocks in at nearly 8-minutes. As it builds in intensity, the producer introduces cinematic percussion that’s understated enough to not shift too much attention from the grandiose technicolor synths.
