Succeeding his ‘Κάτι βράχια’ EP released in September 2022, Athens-based producer Konstantinos Gkoumas returns with his self-released five-track ‘Baby Blues‘ EP.
As a tribute to the experimental pioneers, ‘Baby Blues‘ EP presents a collection of five supernatural soundtracks inquiring about tomorrow’s gatherings while pledging a high-fidelity allegiance to wire-shaped giants. All along the release, Konstantinos Gkoumas redefines the aesthetics of the experimental genre with an amalgam of puzzling downtempo and dark ambient.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘One scotch, one scotch, one more‘ – a cyberpunk country ballad crafted for befuddled lumberjacks. Through a blend of buzzing oscillations, blue-collar rhythms, and backwoods synth progressions, Konstantinos Gkoumas transforms reckless cowboys into knights in shining armor.
