Astro Nautico began in 2008 as a radio show on CKUT 90.3FM in Montreal, Canada. Hosted by Paul Jones, it was a 4-6am Thursday morning exploration into all forms of soulful electronic music. In 2009, childhood friends Kuhn and Obey City moved back to NY and joined Paul in forming the skeleton of Astro Nautico. Armed with a blogspot and an appetite for sharing new sounds, the crew embarked on its maiden voyage with Atlantics Vol. 1 that December. Astro Nautico have released music from artists such as RAJA, The Range, Time Wharp, Space Ghost and many more, while maintaining an internet presence through a series of guest mixes called ASTROCASTS.
