Marking their tenth vinyl release, Dutch imprint spclnch gear up to issue the 4-track extended player ‘The Four Elements‘ from collaborative duo DP-6 consisting of Vadim Indigo and Alexey Filin.
With two decades of releases in the twilight of the Russian burgeoning music scene, the production duo DP-6 offer up a full-spectrum dub techno fantasy detailed with space-echoed soundscapes, bubbling synth textures and subterranean drum patterns.
Our pick from the release is ‘Water‘ – thanks to its underwater pilgrimage, reminiscent of the legendary sound of Deepchord and Maurizio. In this proto-human brain massage, ultra-muffled kick-drums, delay-driven atmospheres and streaming echoes of elegance transport listeners into the vaults of a submerged Atlantis-like metropolis filled with ancestral hardware and long-forgotten knowledge.
