With only a handful of releases under his belt, Metrist aka L.SAE real name Joe Higgins has already cemented his place as one of the most exciting young producers in techno.
With previous releases on Fifth Wall, Resin and Timedance, Higgins portrayed an impressive attention to detail complimented by a sound pallet mature way beyond his years. Next up for Metrist is ‘This Is For Sore Is Just There’ LP on Black Opal, the vinyl dedicated offshoot of the ever impressive Opal Tapes label.
‘Knights of the Templar, Here Comes Neil’ is an example of some of Higgins finest work to date. Not one for the faint hearted, the track is powered by an array of jagged percussion and haunting melodies, which sit menacingly over an onslaught of crunching sub pressure.
This Is For Sore Is Just There’ is released via Black Opal on 15th April 2016.
