Four years since the release of the bass-heavy ‘Lemma1‘ EP, Norwegian born producer Tobias Sørensen Urhaug aka O.M. Theorem and label head Aarti Kriplani line up the first of two remix packages, delivering two VIP reworks and a pair of weighty remixes from Bristol-based producer Ossia and Sex Tags Mania kingpin DJ Sotofett.
Rooted in 160 BPM sub-heavy atmospheric soundscapes, the original ‘Lemma1′ proved to be an insatiable bass assault offering two percussive driven polyrhythm explorations on Side A and dubstep / UK Garage explorations on the flip.
In the case of this remix EP, we’re treated to two fresh interpretations of ‘Lemma1-B2‘. DJ Sotofett’s remix delivers an armada of club-soaked bass oscillations, minimal synth arpeggios courtesy of LNS and space-echoed lyrics from Ghanaian artist Ekowmania. There’s no doubt that this remix could easily become an anthem at this years edition of Notting Hill Carnival.
