Having written his dissertation on the politics of ecstasy culture in the United Kingdom, Patrick joined the Inverted Audio family in October 2013. His main interests consequently lie in the relationship between (electronic) music and politics, and the sonic consequences of such connections. Having been reared on a heady cocktail of Cabaret Voltaire, Warp Records and Sheffield Wednesday from a young age, it was hardly surprising that he should later graduate from the University of Sheffield. Previously contributed for Don’t Panic and Mixmag as well as worked as a Stage Assistant at Outlook and Dimensions Festivals.
All three tracks on offer here manage to conjure idiosyncratic sonic landscapes; wholesome, heady and vibrant cocktails of aural colour that you’d struggle to put down and before you realise, they’re gone.
