Broken Ear x Inverted Audio: DJ Antepop, Marcus Waxx, Charlie Ross at The Goose

Broken Ear embodies an enthusiast’s perspective into what nightlife and wider dance culture should represent. Sharing a love for the UK scene – oddities and diamonds in the rough make up the core of Broken Ear’s sound.

Our inaugural night is in collaboration with Inverted Audio, the renowned electronic music magazine and record store, the driving force behind Houghton’s prestigious Trevinos record fair. Inverted Audio founder DJ Antepop brings his storied collection to the dance, delivering an endless supply ear candy and hypnotic rhythms.

In tandem, Marcus Waxx provides his own bag rammed with peculiarities and textbook belters. Having turned the heads of many a connoisseur recently, silky blends between unearthed gems and rare classics are bound to be in store.

Both opening and closing the night is one of our co-founders – Charlie Ross. After endless quiet days working at various record stores across London, the resulting motley crew of often overlooked and left field pearls simply has to be heard to be believed.

Expect vinyl only sets chock-a-block with groove heavy deep house, melodic minimal, and dub techno – from the heads and for the heads.

Casting off onboard an elusive yet eminent travelling music venue, Broken Ear begins at The Goose, located in a secret location in East London. A 65-foot canal boat-turned intimate music venue equipped with Funktion One Sound. However this is no boat party, but instead a refuge for genuine lovers of music and dance, moored to a bank hidden amongst London’s winding canals. Get ready to cut a rug or two.
