Detroit-based producer Stephen Hitchell is set to reissue two seminal works from his cv313 project through his record label Echospace Detroit.
Alongside seminal imprints including Chain Reaction and Maurizio, echospace [detroit] is responsible for a number of essential dub techno and long-form ambient releases. Each release features trippy, sprawled out experiments, enveloping the listener in its powerful atmospheres, with tracks that can span over an hour in length.
20 years since its original release (2007 via Smallfish), ‘Subtraktive‘ is now remastered to pure analogue bliss from the original Ampex tape masters. The B side now features an epic live version captured at AIR, Tokyo in Japan.
14 years since its release, ‘Seconds To Forever‘ has been remastered from the original Ampex tape masters conducted at the NSC mastering lab in Detroit by the legendary Ron Murphy. Recorded from a live session near the heart of Detroit, using countless modular synths, analog devices and custom made effects producing a hypnotic state like no other – this tugs right at the heartstrings.
Both are set for release in April via echospace [detroit]. Order a vinyl copy of ‘Subtraktive‘ and ‘Seconds To Forever‘ on Inverted Audio Store.
