Ghostly International – the visionary American record label founded in 1999 by Sam Valenti IV – celebrates over 25 years of boundary-defying creativity with the release of ‘We’ll Never Stop Living This Way: A Ghostly International Catalogue‘, a limited-edition hardcover book published in collaboration with Hat & Beard Press.
Out on November 21, the book offers a definitive portrait of Ghostly’s evolution from its Michigan roots to its status as one of the most influential platforms in contemporary electronic music and visual culture. Spanning over a quarter century of sound and image, the book embodies the label’s ethos – a space where music and art coexist freely, unbound by genre or convention.
Ghostly’s discography includes some of modern electronic music’s most acclaimed producers, among them Lusine, Matthew Dear (aka Audion), Khotin, Tycho, Gold Panda, Shigeto, Telefon Tel Aviv, HTRK, Christopher Willits, The Sight Below, Recondite, and Dabrye. The label’s distinctive visual identity, defined by the elegant and expressive artwork of Michael Cina, has become as iconic as the music itself.
Designed by Practise and edited by Sam Valenti IV, James Goggin, and JC Gabel, the book features exclusive essays by Michaelangelo Matos and Philip Sherburne, alongside rare photos, archival materials, and oral histories with artists and collaborators from across the Ghostly network.
We’ll Never Stop Living This Way: A Ghostly International Catalogue is scheduled for release 21 November via Hat & Beard Press.
