2015 marks the fourth year of operation for Canadian based record label King Deluxe. To celebrate, the label have released a 7-track ‘Year Four‘ various artist compilation. However what really caught our eye was the monochrome music video directed by Japanese artist Keita Onishi.
The video itself feels like a symbiosis of Interstellar and Inception, depicting a simulated universe of 3D shapes and wooden men, which are continuously divided and multiplied within a box. ‘Divide Multiply‘ is a collaboration by Dutch producer Julien Mier and Osaka based musician Magical Mistakes. Their track ‘Divide Multiply’ features on the King Deluxe ‘Year Four’ compilation, which you can order from their web-store.
