Following up Anna Prior‘s debut EP in June, London-based record label House Anxiety reveal a medley of reinterpretations that promise to twist and reshape her expansive sound and prepare to share the stems of Tech Não to her worldwide community to submit their own versions.
Drummer of English electronic music band Metronomy, Prior’s debut solo EP delivered a mesmerising collection of tracks, blending celestial house with stripped-back techno and avant-garde pop. This remix release marks a significant step in her career, enlisting an impressive roster of producers including Kornél Kovács, Canadian innovator Jex Opolis and PPJ.
At the heart of this endeavour, Stockholm-based producer Kornél Kovács and British producer Matt Karmil collaborate on a laid-back house track that pulses at a steady 125 BPM. The duo craft a mesmerising interplay of lost thoughts, where Prior’s vocals entwine with the precise drum rhythms, unveiling a haunting beauty that evokes a profound sense of longing and disconnection within our ever-expanding digital life.
‘Almost Love – The Remixes’ is scheduled for release 7 November via House Anxiety. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
