Premiere: ATŌMI – Baghdad1258

Following up ‘Little Floating Oracles‘  in 2022, which dove head first into experimental sound designs melded with hard-hitting electronics, Berlin-based producer ATŌMI (Lorenzo Setti) steps up to deliver ‘AT​Ø​MIA‘ via ATME Records – serving up five deft explorations of submerged ambient house.

Our pick is “Baghdad1258“. A deep, dark mini odyssey of sound, the track constructs a cavernous wall of synths and effects, echoing into the vast darkness. With a crisp, cerebral sound, “Baghdad1258” presents an atmospheric, cinematic quality that could be a spot on opener to a sci-fi neo-noir film. The vibe builds to a stirring climax, alternating between an intimate combination of keys, pads, and extraterrestrial moods.

We are pleased to premiere the track alongside a visual piece created by Berlin based visual artist Pablo Iglesias Algora aka GESO. Dive into the virtual world built to accompany the track, which will also be on display at MUTEK Argentina.
