Premiere: Boaksi – What’s It Worth?

Two years after Hame’s inaugural three tracker on Belgium-based record label Small Steps, Lola Haro enlist’s Project Indigo co-founder Boaksi to deliver the second EP on her boutique imprint.

Stepping onto the scene in 2022 with his debut album ‘I Thought It Was Yesterday‘, the Zurich-based producer has since enamoured  listeners thanks to his sublime sonorities – exploring deft downtempo beat work and intricate sound designs, resulting in ambient house music, comparable to the output of Rising Sun and all-time producer of mystery Traumprinz.

Boaksi now steps up to deliver ‘Under The Pavilion‘ – a summer themed extended player of ethereal ambiance that builds upon the output of his debut LP by featuring a combination of more club oriented elements together, often characterised by layered synth patterns, breaks and textured percussion.

Our pick from the EP is ‘What’s It Worth‘ – a shimmering house track interweaving radiant atmospheres with vocal snippets, clickety-clack drums and a deeply resounding beat, leaving listeners with an all-embracing positive feeling – it’s hard not to fall in love with this track.

‘Under The Pavilion’ EP is scheduled for release on 31st January via Small Steps. Order a vinyl copy from Inverted Audio Store and digital from Bandcamp.
