Premiere: D3LMAT – Ultravision

Five years since its inception, Lyon-based record label Mélopée line up their next extended player marking the debut release from Paris-based producer D3LMAT.

Spanning three original cuts and two remixes, courtesy of electro stalwart John Lord Fonda and M.I.R Musique affiliate Jabba 2.3, ‘In This Night’ sketches a nocturnal topography where mutant EBM, voltage-charged synth disco and the brooding end of new wave’s DNA coalesce. The result exudes the nervous elegance of an analog dream flickering at the edge of collapse.

Our pick is the third track ‘Ultravision’ – opening with spectral synth beams and a menacing low-end throb, unfurling into a slow-burning hallucination laced with spiralling frequencies and weathered machinery. Midway, the rhythmic skeleton dissolves into a weightless drift of cosmic shimmer before locking back into formation, one final peak-time signal from a night drive into the unknown.

‘In This Night’ EP is scheduled for release 4 July via Melopee Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp
