Following a string of standout releases from Alex Albrecht, Frank & Tony, Soela and Will Long, New York-based record label Scissor and Thread wrap up 2024 with a double LP from American producer DaRand Land.
Based out of Buffalo in the state of New York, DaRand Land is a revered for his deep house tendencies, issuing music through Spanish labels Downbeat and Pulp, plus an LP in 2001 on Chicago-based label Deep4Life. 23 years since ‘Calming Effect‘ LP dropped, DaRand Land steps up to deliver his sophomore album on Francis Harris’ label.
Spanning 12-tracks, ‘Wander Being‘ is effortfully sleek and deep, surefire to please the most discerning of heads thanks to its bumping blend of house. Standout track ‘Turn To The Music‘ piques our attention due to its thumping kick-drum and sultry chords, rounded off with smoked out vocals.
DaRand Land plays Francis Harris’ Brooklyn venue Public Records for the album release party on 21st December. He’ll be joined by Frank & Tony and it’ll be the last date of their 2024 residency.
