French born, now London-based audiovisual artist Dot Als returns with his latest single ‘Un rai de feu‘, his most scorched and spiritually unruly work to date – coinciding with a live performance on 12th June at Avalon Café in South London.
Emerging from the fringe where club electronics melt into visual performance, ‘Un rai de feu‘ stands as both a single and a living fragment of a broader audio-visual mythos. Built as the sonic spine of a larger experience involving custom-built lighting systems and 3D ecosystems, the track unfolds like a séance in slow motion.
The track itself opens in whisper and ash, offering a slow-cooked descent into a fever dream of burnt drones and fractured rhythms. Arpeggios crawl like illuminated wounds, while distant flames crackle in the periphery of consciousness. Somewhere between a techno requiem and a post-industrial dirge, ‘Un rai de feu‘ feels less like a song and more like a relic unearthed from a civilisation that no longer speaks.
