After their previous album release ‘This Bit Of Earth‘ in 2021, Irish production duo Fish Go Deep – whose members include solo producers Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson prepare to release the long-player ‘What I Mean By Beautiful‘.
Following appearances on NYC-based label Chez Music, Gourmet Recordings, i! Records and Boo Williams imprint Attic Space – ‘What I Mean By Beautiful’ guides the ear into lumpy man-made soil in search of hidden treasures. Spread across 11-tracks, Fish Go Deep provides a metaphysical listening experience infused with a four-to-the-floor substrate, dubbed-out rhythms and modular synthesizers.
Our pick is ‘I Float In The Clouds‘ – a blissful soundscape traversing a cotton-like cirrocumulus in the boundless stratosphere. Fish Go Deep’s knack for incorporating atmospheric guitar riffs with distorted vocals and esoteric synthesizers makes them a timeless dancefloor staple.
