Premiere: Hypna & J-Shadow – Incubate

New label Plasma Sources are about the drop their first release, a collaborative project from label founder Hypna and Keysound alum J Shadow. With the two artists affectionately referring to each other as their “musical other”, their new EP showcases a shared vision of futuristic club music.

First connecting back in 2018, the two producers bonded over a love of each other’s music before discovering that they had a lot in common. Their mutual interest in video games and sci-fi movies is certainly apparent on ‘A2I‘.

Reimagining UK club styles in strange new forms, Hypna and J Shadow set out to explore different patterns and tempos on this release. Flurries of kick drums and gritty bass are scattered sparingly on our pick ‘Incubate’, a track that balances bass and space.

‘A2I’ is scheduled for release on 17 February via Plasma Sources. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
