Danish record label Pink Cotton Candy line up the debut extended-player ‘Ephemeral, Basal’ from Copenhagen via Berlin production duo Ignacio Córdoba & Agata Ciurkot.
Following acclaim from Henry Rollins on KCRW and notable collaborations with Kazehito Seki and Michael Pisaro, Copenhagen-based multi-instrumentalist Córdoba teams up with Ciurkot for a neo-classical, machine-driven experience that transports listeners to the surreal depths of a phantasmagorical circus. Together, they expertly blend avant-garde experimentation with elements of archaic jazz and noise-infused ambient soundscapes
Today, we are pleased to premiere ‘Luminiferous Aether‘ – a crystalline ambient polyphony spiralling into the turmoils of illumination. The track encapsulates a meditative interplay of highly-luminescent frequencies and neo-classical piano textures infused with an invigorating human touch. It crescendos into a powerful blackout, surrounded by expansive, space-delayed echoes evoking a deep-seated catharsis.
‘Ephemeral, Basal’ EP is scheduled for release 17 January via Pink Cotton Candy. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
