London-based imprint Constructive are set to drop the sophomore album ‘Al Les Axes’ from Paris-based visual artist and producer Aude Van Wyller, better known as Oï les Ox.
Following acclaimed releases on Primordial Void, KRAAK and a compilation with Paris-based record label Promesses, ‘Al Les Axes’ delivers a fractured escape for those drawn to genre-defying aesthetics. Over the span of seven tracks, Oï les Ox takes listeners on a mind-bending trip through semi-synthetic cold wave, dystopian experimental and French post-human poetry.
Our pick from the release is ‘Circuit‘ – a chugged-out maelstrom of swirling synth oscillations, ultra-wired murmurs intertwined with a crescendo of computer-generated echoes and weighty bass frequencies. The track feels like an unearthed Aksak Maboul master tape, distorted with strange AI-driven textures.
