Premiere: SATNAV – every•thing•a•part

Copenhagen-based The Big Oil Recording Company prepare to unveil the first full length album from label founder Sebastian Zieler, better known as SATNAV.

An enigmatic presence in the avant-garde experimental scene, Zieler has long navigated the uncharted limits of sound with a previous appearance on Copenhagen-based imprint Petrola 80. ‘every•thing•a•part‘ unfolds as a hypermodern soundscape where folk, cyber pop and experimental frequencies bring the audience into a blackout state of digital hypnosis. A haunting counterpart, built in collaboration with 3D artist Joakim Moesgaard, deepens the experience – a glitchy VR afterlife drifting through disappearing worlds.

The standout self-titled track commands attention from the first kick-drum resonating like a lost signal in a submerged room. A relentless pulse of processed percussions crash through a thick layer of distorted signals, conjuring the feeling of diving into an infinite phantasmagoria. As the track builds, it morphs into a haunted soundtrack filled with tension-heavy synthesizers and deep-rooted basslines evoking a UFO transmission etched in after-hour surrealism.

‘every•thing•a•part’ is scheduled for release on 13 June via The Big Oil Recording Company. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
