Five months since the release of ‘The Weeping Siege‘ from Lau Andersson, Copenhagen-based record label Rhizome gear up to issue ‘Polymer Veil‘ from Danish producer Krue Bugge, better known as Skarv.
Building on previous releases with Rhizome and collaborations with local luminaries Lyra Valenza and Alto Aria, ‘Polymer Veil‘ presents a mesmerising journey through a chaotic landscape of digital realities. Propelling listeners into a realm of human-shaped intelligence in the metaverse, navigating synthetic power plants and blending high-octane techno beats, otherworldly electronica and post-human elements.
Our pick from the album is ‘Heart Muscle Fibre Snap‘. Listeners are taken on a thrilling rollercoaster ride of unsettling oscillations, exploring the uncharted territories of artificial intelligence that stretch IDM’s experimental boundaries. Kicking off with high-speed arpeggios, the track conjures the sensation of elusive floating particles, before building into a synthesised crescendo enriched by cybernetic church organs.
