Leipzig-based record label Altin Village & Mine conjure up their latest otherworldly transmission, an interstellar pilgrimage by Cologne-based production duo Urban Homes, consisting of Benjamin Riedl and Oliver Bersin.
Emerging from an 8-year deep freeze, the production duo recalibrate their sonic coordinates to deliver a four-track EP navigating through machine-fuelled mysticisms. ‘UFO’ is a hyper-connected voyage where post-punk grit collides with dub and hallucinatory downtempo oscillations.
‘Alien Nation’ plunges into a cosmic vortex of slo-mo rhythms and cerebral hypnosis. Unfolding like a 5-minute after-hours séance, the track sculpts a Balearic ritual – percussions quivering like seismic murmurs beneath a haze of space-dusted synths. Deep-sea echoes ripple through a misty skyline, while a weightless rub-a-dub bassline hums like a mantra, guiding listeners through a star-strewn nebula of ever-mutating frequencies.
