Ten years after their inaugural release, French imprint Tripalium Corp deliver the four-track ‘Navro’z‘ EP – courtesy of Kazan-born Barcelona-based maverick Viner Khaiitov.
With previous appearances on Kazan-based imprint Get Busy Recordings, Why People Dance and Latvian imprint DSS, ‘Navro’z‘ reflects the faith of thousands of Russian residents living in exile around the world. Presenting a ferocious postcolonial ideology, Viner assembles a collection of broken dreams flavored with post-club breaks, furious techno, and Central Asian melodies.
Our pick for the premiere is ‘Nova‘ – a deconstructed gqom anthem that strikes harder than Kremlin propaganda. Thunderous snares, infectious bass rifles, ghostly kickdrums and dystopian synthesizers make it a battle cry rally for a better tomorrow.
‘Navro’z’ is scheduled for release on 16th February via Tripalium Corp. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
