Today, London-based conceptual artist Aboutface announces the release of his debut four-track album arriving in September via AD 93.
For those not in the know, Aboutface is a multi-faceted and hyper-experimental sound project spanning everything from sonic art, painting, field recordings and highly conceptual performances. If you have not experienced Kelly’s output, we strongly suggest checking out his Soundcloud, and more specifically, his series of live improvisational performances for Netil Radio.
As stated in the press release, “°s is inspired by patterns in urban nature: language; behaviour; seasons, and alongside poetry, explores the cyclical psychological peaks and troughs experienced during the pandemic.” The results speak for themselves, plunging the listener into a cerebral stratosphere of electronica and live multi-instrumentation. 100% underrated, 100% essential.
