It’s officially Summer, which means our sister mix series has a perfect delivery at the ready on this episode of Newtype Rhythms courtesy of Cardiff-based production duo known as Bodhi.
A steady, stir-worthy presence in the underground with releases for the likes of influential labels of past, present and future. Getting off the ground via the Grizzly imprint (shouts to the one-and-only Sinden), Luke Welsby and Olly Howells have been getting floors shaking with releases for the likes of Future Classic, Hot Haus, Rinse, Strictly Rhythm, Black Butter Records and many more.
Yet, with their ‘Laurus Ascending‘ EP coming out on Hotflush in a couple weeks time – the Welsh duo deliver a mix that is luminous, masterful and as rude as it can get – perusing skittering drums, groovy shuffles and wobbles with precision and poise on this guest mix for Newtype Rhythms.
