Following the release of fka boursin – From Space Between (w/ Frank & Tony’s Housebeat Dub) on Scissor and Thread, and with his recent relocation from Bristol to London, we are delighted to present a very special vinyl-only in-store with none other than acclaimed deep house producer fka boursin.
For three hours on Saturday 28th November, fka boursin will play an all-vinyl DJ set at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham drawing on the deeper side of house and beyond. Expect patient, hypnotic grooves and warm, late-night cuts, played on two Technics 1200s through our Ecler Warm2 rotary mixer, the way this music is meant to be heard.
To mark the occasion, we’ll have a selection of the Scissor and Thread back catalogue on sale in the shop. It’s one of our favourite record labels from New York and has long been a source of the deep, soulful, forward-thinking house music we love curated by Francis Harris.
The in-store event is free to attend and informal. Drop in whenever you like, bring your own drinks, meet other record lovers and browse the racks while fka boursin plays. The shop is small, so arriving early is recommended.
When: Saturday 28th November, 18:00 – 21:00
Where: Inverted Audio Record Store, Holdrons Arcade, 135a Rye Lane, SE15 4ST
Drinks: BYOB – Free Entry!
