Florian Bräunlich up next of Phuong Dan’s dispari imprint

Following an inaugural 12-inch from Anatolian Weapons and Hector Zazou with Laurie Anderson, today Phuong Dan drops his imprints second release from visual artist Florian Bräunlich with a performance by Sven-Åke Johansson.

Available as a limited edition single sided C-28 cassette housed within a cardboard box (just 100 available), including porcelain drumsticks, hand-printed letterpress poster and postcards, ‘Safe Crash‘ is ticking all the boxes for a unique musical artefact.

With the label positioned as “a disparate platform for all types of auditory publications, plus events and performances in all types of places and spaces”, dispari is interested in connecting artists and authors from different faculties (film, photography, humanities) to work together and create something entirely new.

In this case, dispari sheds light on Sven-Åke Johansson’s performance of Florian Bräunlich’s ‘Safe Crash’ at HFBK (University of Fine Arts Hamburg) in September 2020. The results speak for themselves, delivering a highly conceptual and performative auditory product.

‘Safe Crash’ is out now via dispari. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
