Kompakt have announced Gui Boratto‘s fourth studio album ‘Abaporu’ set for release on 29th September. The 13 track album is considered as “what may be his best work to date” following his previous albums Chromophobia (2007), Take My Breath Away (2009), III (2011) . Listen to the new track ‘Joker‘ via YouTube.
The album also provokes an act of cultural appropriation by referencing Brazil’s leading female modernist artist Tarsilo Do Amaral’s painting “Abaporu“.
