Lyon-based producer Jonnnah lands on Conna Haraway‘s consistently stellar Glaswegian co:clear imprint in May with the release of his latest, ‘Me, With You’.
co:clear hit the ground running with its launch in 2024, branching off from Haraway’s INDEX:Records with a focus on post-club chill out zones best suited for home listening. They kicked off with Eden Aurelius‘s stunning ‘Plateau‘ and followed with Box5ive‘s gorgeous ‘Grey Space‘. Jonnnah fits in perfectly with the label’s aesthetic offering up a finely crafted release “as equally suited to colossal sound systems, as they are to solitary early morning walks in headphones”.
Building a lush sonic world of dub techno, 2-step, and lugubrious drum and bass, ‘Me, With You‘ finds The Second End Records founder exploring and building on familiar sounds heard on the 2024 effort ‘The Next Kingdom‘. The majestic opener, “Still Here, Playing Gtr“, features Pavel Milyakov, aka Butttechno, and it sets the tone beautifully for what’s to follow.
