Following up ‘THR33FOLD‘ EP released on DJ Murdock’s Radar Records, Antwerp-based producing trio KRANKk comprising of Aram Abgaryan (keys), Thomas Geysen (drums) and Willem Heylen (guitar, electronics) line up their sophomore album ‘Late Nights In Antwerp‘ – due to be released in Spring 2024.
To celebrate the release of their new album, the trio joined forces with the Belgian vocalist Selah Sue on the single track ‘Nova‘ diving deep into a common love for Drum & Bass. Featuring fast breaks, menacing basslines and fearsome-looking synthesizers, KRANKk offers an immersive venture into instrumental heavyweight frequencies.
“Working with Selah Sue on this track is a dream come true,” says KRANKk. “We came together through our mutual love for Drum and Bass. ‘NOVA’ became a track with no compromises, enabling us to express our heartbreak and loss in these trying times.” In these tumultuous times, ‘Nova’ becomes a poignant vessel for the universal emotions we all grapple with: loss, uncertainty in love, and the profound ache within. This track serves as a resounding call to hope, a reminder that even in the darkest hours, the human spirit perseveres. It also offers a taste of what’s to come on KRANKk’s second album, scheduled to be released in the spring of 2024.
‘Late Nights In Antwerp’ is scheduled for release in Spring 2024 via Cloud Shaper. Listen to ‘Nova’ on Spotify.
