Berlin-based producer Misantrop, aka Nicolai Vesterkær Krog, lands on Opal Tapes in June with their debut solo album ‘Reproaching the Absurd‘.
Spanning across seven tracks, ‘Reproaching the Absurd‘ was produced over the past three years in Berlin and is said to “explore the thought processes of a depressed mind in Berlin’s club scene, observing different mental stages of a night and following day – existential dread, anxiety, desire, regret.”
‘Reproaching the Absurd‘ follows the release of Misantrop’s inaugural ‘Limerence‘ EP in 2016 through their own imprint Foul-Up, as well as a collaborative self-released EP in 2020 with Splash Pattern. Additionally, Misantrop recently debuted a unique live performance work at Berlin’s renowned KW Institute for Contemporary Art in spring 2020.
‘Reproaching the Absurd’ is scheduled for release 24 June via Opal Tapes.
