Founded by Discus Throwers‘ head Florian Stöffelbauer and Ascending Waves affiliate Simon Heidemann, Neubau is an up-and-coming label hailing from the timeless Vienna and focused on publishing music from “new or quite unknown artists“.
The label’s first release comes courtesy of Aufgang B, a brand new project from Berlin-based producers Alexander Arpeggio (spAceLex) and Cid Hohner. Melding acid-drenched bass combers and industrial accents, the pair perform an analogue-machines live set up that’s proving terribly efficient on a late-night, freaky floor session.
Düsseldorf producer Tolouse Low Trax contributes with a sliced-and-diced rework of Demo 1, diving deep into a pool of blowy bass moves, warehouse reverbs and off-beat percussions while Klasse boss Lucas Lozano delivers yet another example of his designer’s skills with a tasteful grey-shaded, retro-futuristic cover art.
Beware, Neubau press quite limited runs so you better act quick and grab yourself a slice of Aufgang B’s tasty viennoiseries while they last.
B-Ware is released via Neubau in December, pre-order a vinyl copy from Discus Throwers.
