White Material lineup Alvin Aronson’s ‘City EP’ for November release

White Material make a welcome return this November with Alvin Aronson’s long awaited 6-track ‘City EP’. The record marks the seventh vinyl release from the New York based imprint headed up by Young Male and DJ Richard.

Following his 100% Alvin Aronson mixtape and interview for Inverted Audio in September 2013, in which he speaks about meeting fellow label mates Galcher Lustwerk, Morgan Louis and DJ Richard at University, the NY-based producer’s longed-for debut is finally seeing the light of day.

The EP alternates clear-toned and light-seeking pad phases with hazier, deep-driving techno moments. From the beautiful ‘Fog City‘ and its ethereal vocals floating over deep, meditative pads to the darkling, progressive 4/4 templates of ‘Drone Techno‘, Aronson draws the contours of a fantasized city, innervating his languid, shape-shifting groove with a vivid vision.

White Material’s co-founder and label boss Young Male plays live in London for Inverted Audio on Friday 13th November at Bussey Building, Peckham.
