Blackstrobe Records line up ‘Songs about Life, Death and Truth‘ EP from label boss Arnaud Rebotini.
Succeeding a highly-acclaimed scoring for the movie ‘120 Battements Par Minute’ in 2018 and numerous releases on Berlin-based imprint Mannequin, Rotation Mécanique and VEYL, Rebotini returns with six delusions of splendor combining dark disco with synth-driven post-punk and EBM-infused oddities.
Our pick is ‘Let the Lower Lights be Burning‘. Aside from its sidereal blackout opening, Rebotini unleashes a torrent of thunderous arpeggios bolstered by stomping kick drums, followed by synthesizers and highly-arranged drum rhythms, before morphing into a cutting-edge techno cut at the end.
‘Songs about Life, Death and Truth‘ EP is scheduled for release 28th June via Black Strobe Records. Order a copy from Bandcamp.
