Nearly a year after the release of his latest double package for Berceuse Heroique, tenebrous proto-tech alchemist George Thompson aka Black Merlin turns up again on the London-based label with a fresh assortment of his signature murky analogue jams, merciless drones and hot-headed industrial stomp. Nasty to the fullest, this one’s bound to get the raving zombies on alert.
Amidst the thick, leafy shroud of Black Merlin’s own fantasized Brocéliande, an increasingly loud and lusty primitive pulse resounds, spattering its quiet tropical canvas with cold, machinic howls like one would sound the trumpets of Jericho. Continually swinging the sword of justice across invasive armies of lame ass 4/4-engineered systems and Dettmann-copy-pasted programmings, Thompson shells a carbonated storm of steel and iron upon the dancefloor, sure to send shivers of fear and ecstasy down your spine. Remembering the words of T. S. Eliot here: “He knew the anguish of the marrow / The ague of the skeleton / No contact possible to flesh / Allayed the fever of the bone.”
BH055 is released via Berceuse Heroique on 7th December 2018.
