Almost two years after the release of ‘Closer‘ from Sublime Sound, London-based imprint Loose Fit issued their highly-anticipated return with ‘Home Colours‘ EP from British producer Blossom Hill.
Previously operating as Red Verse, ‘Home Colours‘ marks the debut release from the recently relocated Berlin-based producer. Blossom Hill traces six months of homesickness in a grey city dominated by clubby aesthetics, featuring blissful electronica, digital braindance, cyber ambient textures, and synthesised euro house.
Our pick is ‘Don’t Look Back‘. Providing a dewy-eyed symphony of nostalgia, Blossom Hill presents a multi-layered piece of IDM kicking off with bubbling arpeggios backed by subtle four-to-the-flour rhythms, before landing in a highly-organised delirium of FX textures and syncopated vocals.
‘Home Colours’ was scheduled for release 23 July via Loose Fit. Order a CD copy from Bandcamp.
